Ignore negativity, focus and write positivity

"It’s called the 3-to-1 ratio, and it’s one of the most important findings of the decade. Barbara Fredrickson, the genius of the positive psychology movement, coined the term and it simply means this: in order to succeed in business, finances, intimate relationships, or personal health, you must consciously and unconsciously generate at least three positive thoughts and feelings for every negative feeling or thought your have. You must decrease negativity and increase positivity...

Ten new university studies confirm an amazing fact: If you want to be more successful, accomplish more goals, and improve your self-confidence, write down your objectives and achievements every day. Writing trains key parts of your brain to become more focused and motivated. But you have to state your goals in clear and positive ways. If you focus on negative thoughts, feelings, or doubts, you’ll become more emotionally distraught, and you’ll accomplish less than you can -- John Assaraf"

Don't try to run ahead of Allah

"Don't try to run ahead of Allah. Let Him direct your steps. He has plans. He has time. His clock is never early nor late. It always strikes on time. May Allah bless each and everyone one of us. Ameen"--- from Hadith Of The Day

It's between You and Him, Anyway

"People are often unreasonable, irrational and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.

If you're honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years building, others could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may jealous.
Be happy anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough for some.
Give your best anyway.

Because in the end, it is between you and Allah SWT.
It was never between you and them, anyway,"

Tears

A dying child was once placed in the lap of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Tears flowed from the Prophet's eyes. When he was questioned about crying for the child, the Prophet said: "(Tears are a form of) mercy that God has lodged in the hearts of His servants, and God is merciful only to those of His servants who are merciful (to others)."

Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 373

Because I choose to

Smith/Oracle: Why, Mr. Anderson, why? Why, why do you do it? Why, why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting for something, for more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is, do you even know? Is it freedom or truth, perhaps peace - could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself. Although, only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson, you must know it by now! You can't win, it's pointless to keep fighting! Why, Mr. Anderson, why, why do you persist?

Neo: Because I choose to.

Rapatkanlah saf

Bismillah...

Dari Abu Umamah, katanya, Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda :

(Hadith Riwayat Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa-i Dan Ibnu Majah Dan Disahkan Oleh At-Tirmizi)

Jadi, tolonglah... Janganlah jahil sangat sampai hukum merapatkan saf pun kita tidak endah. Tolong..rapatkanlah saf..

Don't let our jobs eat us

‎"This job will eat you if you let it. [So] find a way not to let it", said Agent Aaron Hotchner from Criminal Minds.

He may be referring to the job as a BAU team member, but I think his saying can be generalized to any kinds of jobs out there. Let's find a way so that our jobs won't "eat" us whole and leave us dry at the end of our life journey. Let's allow other beauties and wonders of life to "consume" some parts of us as well. Life will be more meaningful that way.

Kita semua terikat dengan tanggungjawab
